Belfast City, Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge
Private tour for group of 1-8 people by a licenced and insured SPSV Driver. Your Driver/Guide is a postgraduate of history from one of Ireland's leading Universities.
The Giants Causeway is the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland, one of three on the island of Ireland. This unique geological formation extends from the mountains and shores of Antrim along the sea to Scotland. The origins of the Giants Causeway for some are mythological. In Irish Folklore a Giant named Finn McCool would walk step by step on the giant rocks to Scotland to face the Scottish Giant called Benedoner. However, while myths and legends are part of the story of this area of outstanding beauty, the Giants Causeway itself is a geological formation due to a volcanic eruption from over 66 million years ago.
We start this tour from Dublin and drive to Belfast, where we will witness murals and the walls which represent and separate Catholics and Protestants to this day, we see the fine Edwardian and Victorian Architecture of Central Belfast and its ship building industrial past. Leaving the city we have stops at Dunluce Castle, lunch in an Irish pub, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and the main attraction, the Giants Causeway.
Customised tour is available, for example if a visitor would like to visit Titanic, Bushmills Distillery, Game of Thrones sites such as Dark Hedges and/or Ballintoy Harbour we can do so.
Price covers guiding and driving. Estimated additional expenses: €35 for entrance fees and lunch
